Women-only slots in Brussels’ public pools
In Brussels, several public swimming pools host women-only swimming sessions or aquatic activities. Depending on the venue, these slots may include free swimming, aquagym or swimming lessons in a women-only setting.
These initiatives are generally organised by non-profit organisations or associations using dedicated time slots at the pools. As schedules may change during the year, it is advisable to check the arrangements with the organiser before travelling.
Information checked and updated in early September 2026.
Here’s a roundup of swimming pools offering women-only hours in Brussels.

1. Center swimming pool
Located in the heart of the city, the Center swimming pool hosts several aquatic activities reserved for women, organised by different associations:
- Tuesday from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm: Aquagym and free swimming (Maison Médicale Galilée – outside school holidays)
- Thursday from 4 pm to 5 pm: Women-only aquagym (Centre de Santé du Miroir – €2 per session, registration with the centre)
- Saturday from 5 pm to 7 pm: Swimming, aquagym and free swimming for women and children (ASBL Marhaban)
The women-only slot previously organised by Aquatix Bruxelles is no longer included: the association announced the end of its women-only swimming activities from September 2026.
2. Laeken swimming pool
The Laeken swimming pool also hosts activities organised by associations for women:
- Wednesday from 8:15 pm to 9:15 pm: Aquagym (Life Sport Brussels – G. Marchesi)
- Thursday from 8:15 pm to 9:15 pm: Sports activities (Femmes en Forme ASBL – M. Samadi)
Please note: the Monday 8:30–9:30 pm slot previously attributed to Aquatix Bruxelles has been removed from this list, as Aquatix announced the end of its women-only activities from September 2026. Association schedules may change, so checking with the organiser before travelling is recommended.
3. CERIA swimming pool
The CERIA swimming pool in Anderlecht hosts a women-only session every Saturday from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, except during Ramadan. ASBL Salsabil, with Miloudi Rahma, offers free swimming and swimming lessons during this session.
4. Neptunium swimming pool
The Neptunium swimming pool in Schaerbeek offers a session reserved for women and children under 10 every Sunday from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, with no reservation required. Supervision is normally provided by female lifeguards; if this is exceptionally not possible, participants are informed on arrival.
5. Saint-Josse baths
Every Sunday from 10 am to 12 pm, the Saint-Josse Baths swimming pool hosts activities organised by ASBL Objectif Bien-être: swimming lessons and aquagym reserved for women. Information: 0487 51 38 13.
6. Ixelles Swimming Pool
The Ixelles municipal swimming pool has hosted a women-only free swimming session organised by the non-profit organisation FightxLife, on Sundays from 6 pm to 7 pm. As of early September 2026, however, we have not found sufficiently recent confirmation that this session is still running under these arrangements. We therefore recommend checking directly with FightxLife or the swimming pool before travelling.
Please note: the Fat Friendly session organised on Sunday evenings in Ixelles is an inclusive session for fat people and is not a women-only session; it is therefore not listed as such in this selection.
