Closure of the Victor Boin Swimming Pool in 2026
Closed since July 2023 for major renovation works, the Victor Boin swimming pool was initially expected to reopen in early 2026.
According to a communication from the Sports Department of the Municipality of Saint-Gilles, the works have taken longer than expected.
A reopening in 2027 is being considered, but no confirmed date is available at this stage.
An official communication is expected during the course of 2026.

About the Victor Boin swimming pool in Saint-Gilles
The Victor Boin municipal swimming pool, located in Saint-Gilles, is a true gem of Brussels’ architectural heritage. Opened in 1905 and remodeled in the Art Deco style between 1938 and 1940, it is one of the last remaining examples of public baths from the interwar period. Featuring a 33-meter pool surrounded by individual changing cabins, the pool hosts various swimming and aquagym classes.

The Saint-Gilles swimming pool asks swimmers to buy their tickets one hour before closing time and to leave the pool 30 minutes before closing time.
At certain times during the school year, all swimming lanes may be reserved for schools.
