About the Nausicaa swimming pool
The Nausicaa pool, located in Waterloo, is a unique and versatile venue where you can enjoy aquatic activities in any season. This facility features an indoor pool open year-round, but when the weather is nice, its retractable roof opens, transforming the space into an outdoor swimming area.

The roof is typically opened on summer afternoons when temperatures exceed 24 degrees, allowing visitors to enjoy the fresh air and a summer atmosphere while swimming.
Built in 1977, Nausicaa is the last public open-air swimming pool in Walloon Brabant, making it one of the region’s landmarks. Thanks to its retractable roof, visitors can enjoy an open-air pool, while still being able to protect themselves from the elements when necessary.

Nausicaa’s swimming pool offers a wide range of sporting activities for adults and children.
The Nausicaa pool in Waterloo offers a wide range of sporting activities for all ages and levels, including group swimming lessons for children, teenagers and adults, aquagym, aquabiking, aquabuilding, swimming with flippers, private swimming lessons, lifesaving, as well as adapted activities such as handinage and specific programs for seniors. It is also home to several local sports clubs, including Waterloo Natation, Waterloo Triathlon, ENN Synchro, Sport Baby Club, Waterloo Diving Club and Dive Factory.
